Lorraine Roth

Lorraine G. Roth, 90, of Slatington passed away Tuesday, April 24, 2012 in Mahoning Valley Nursing Center, Lehighton. She was the wife of the late Elwood J. Roth who passed away in 1982. Born in Walnutport, she was the daughter of the late Hilda (Roth) & Russell S. Wentz, Sr. Lorraine worked for the Northern Lehigh School District as a cook for 33 years. She was a life member of the Diamond Fire Co. Auxiliary and a member of the former Springside Fire Co. the Walnutport and Slatington Senior Citizens., and the VFW, Walnutport. Lorraine was a member of Good Shepherd UCC, Slatington.

Survivors: Daughters, Shirley Wagner of Slatington and Patricia O'Keefe of Valrico FL., grandchildren, Cindy Evans of Walnutport Roger Teada of Wind Gap, Susy Seifert of Palmerton, great grandchildren; Nicholas & Nathan Teada, Matthew & Jacob Evans, Zachary & Colton Seifert. Nieces & nephews. Lorraine was predeceased by her brothers, Russell Wentz, Jr., John S. Wentz, Kelton D. Wentz and Sherwood F. "Bunky"쳌 Wentz. She was also predeceased by her son in laws, William B. Wagner and Edward O'Keefe.

Services: 11:00am, Saturday, April 28, 2012 at Harding Funeral Home, 25-27 N. Second St., Slatington. Calling hour, 10-11:00am at the funeral home. Interment to follow at Slatedale Cemetery.
