Lorraine E. Schneck, 92, of Slatington passed away September 27, 2012 in the Lehigh Valley Hospital Center, Cedar Crest Campus. She was the wife of the late John O. Schneck. Born in Slatington, she was the daughter of the late James & Amelia (Searfoss) Gruber. Lorraine worked at Paris Neckwear and then RCA Victor in Camden, NJ. Following her marriage and having children she then went back to working at Paris Neckwear in Walnutport as a sewing machine operator. She was a member of the Vigilant Auxiliary, she was active with the Second Chance Shop in Slatington, a member of Christ UCC in Walnutport where she volunteered for church activities. She enjoyed bus trips to casinos and bingo at the Emerald Fire Company.

Survivors: Son, Jere J. & wife Eileen Schneck of Walnutport, daughter, Cynthia L. & husband James A. Katz, granddaughters, Jessica & Amanda Schneck and Alyssa & Jamie Katz.

Services: 11:00am, Thursday, October 4, 2012 at Harding Funeral Home, 25-27 N. Second St., Slatington. Calling hour 10-11:00am at the funeral home. Interment to follow at Union Cemetery, PA, Slatington. Arrangements, Harding Funeral Home, 25-27 N. Second St., Slatington.
