Luther A. Musselman

Luther A. Musselman, 80, of Walnutport, formerly of Slatington, passed away Thursday, February 29, 2024, at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest.   He was the husband of Darlene A. (Serfass) Musselman, whom he married on July 24, 1965.  Born in Slatington on August 28, 1943, he was the son of the late LeRoy and Anna (Steigerwalt) Musselman.    Luther worked many years for Brader’s Woodcraft in Laurys Station.  His woodworking skills shined through in many home projects he had completed over the years.  Prior to that, he worked for the former Stanwood Mills, Slatington.   He was a member of St. John’s UCC, Slatington, and a member of the Slatington / Walnutport Senior Citizens.

In addition to his wife Darlene, he is survived by a son: Keith Musselman and fiancé Jenny Buechel of Feasterville; daughters: Beth Ann and husband Tom Bachman of Orefield, Sherri and husband Lee Martinez of Walnutport; grandchildren: Brendon, Jada, Brent, Shane and his mother Judy; God Children: Rosemarie Buskirk, Randy Howell; sisters: Ruth Ann Weaver, Alice and husband Duke Christman; brother-in-law: Donald Berger.  He was pre-deceased by a sister, Dorothy Berger.

A funeral service will be held at 11AM on Tuesday, March 5, 2024, at Harding Funeral Home, 25-27 N. Second Street, Slatington.   Family and friends may pay their respects from 10 to 11AM.   Burial to follow at Union Cemetery, Slatington.    In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the funeral home to help defray funeral related expenses.
