Marian E. Solt

Marian E. (Wentzel) Solt, 94, formerly of Walnutport, passed away Friday, August 16, 2024, at Mahoning Valley Nursing & Rehab, Lehighton. She was the wife of the late Paul V. Solt for 68 years prior to his passing in 2019. Born in Tilden Twsp. on February 18, 1930, she was the youngest of nine children born to the late Samuel and Tamah (Klopp) Wentzel. Marian was a faithful member of Christ UCC, Walnutport, where she served as an elder. An avid reader, Marian enjoyed bird watching, and cherished her time with her grandsons and great-granddaughters.

She will be lovingly remembered by a daughter: Barbara Andrew wife of the late Gary Andrew; son: Brian Solt, both of Walnutport; grandsons: Stephen Andrew and wife Heather, Jonathan Andrew and wife Kimberly; great-granddaughters: Mikayla & Cambria. She was pre-deceased by four brothers & four sisters.

A memorial service will be held at 11AM on Wednesday, August 21, 2024, at Christ UCC, Walnutport, 309 Main Street, Walnutport. Family and friends may pay their respects from 10:30 to 11AM at church. Interment will be private, at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in her memory to Christ UCC. Arrangements are under the direction of Harding Funeral Home, Slatington.
