Marilyn Papay

Marilyn D. Papay, 77 of Lenhartsville died suddenly Monday November 2, 2015 at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Cedar Crest. She was the wife of Jacob A. Papay, Sr.; they celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary on October 10. Born in Palmerton, she was the daughter of the late Stephen and Iola (Spadt) Taras. Marilyn graduated from the Allentown School of Nursing, and went on to obtain her Masters degree in Nursing. She worked as a nurse for the Department of Public Welfare at the Hamburg Center. Prior to that, she worked as a RN for Allentown General Hospital.
Survivors: Husband, Son; Jacob A. Papay, Jr of New Jersey. Granddaughter; Zoe. Brothers; Glendale Taras , Brian Taras and wife Nancy, Nicholas Taras and wife Linda all of Walnutport. Nancy Kovalchick of Walnutport.. She was pre-deceased by a brother Darwin Taras.
Services: 11am Thursday November 5, 2015 Harding Funeral Home, 25-27 N. Second St, Slatington. Calling hour 10-11 at the funeral home.
