Martin J. Klesh Jr.
Martin J. Klesh Jr., 62, of Slatington, formerly of Levittown, passed away March 15, 2009 in Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. Born in McAdoo, he was the son of the late Mary (Slavin) and Martin J. Klesh Sr. He was the companion of Darlene Kuehner since 1996. Martin received his bachelors of arts degree from the College of New Jersey and his masters degree from Florida State University. He worked as a special education teacher, most recently as a substitute teacher in the Northern Lehigh School District. Martin has been a member of AA since 1974 when he achieved sobriety. He was an avid reader, loved the outdoors and doing outside activities such as tennis throughout his life. He was known for his eccentric qualities and traits. Martin was of the Catholic faith. Survivors: Companion Darlene of Slatington; sons, Martin J. Klesh III and Stephen Klesh; sister Jane Freeze, all of Levittown. Services: 7 p.m. Thursday, March 19, 2009 at Harding Funeral Home, 25-27 N. Second St., Slatington. Calling hour, Thursday from 6-7 p.m. in the funeral home.
