Mary Ann K. Hall, 86, formerly of Lehighton, passed away Monday, October 15, 2018 at the Village at Palmerton. She was the wife of the late John E. “Jack” Hall, who passed away in 2016. Born on May 1, 1932, in Danielsville, she was the daughter of the late Lloyd F. and Mildred V. (Oplinger) Krasley. Mary Ann received her Master’s degree from Lehigh University and was employed as an elementary school teacher, working for both Moore Township and Allentown School District. She enjoyed classical music, band concerts, gardening, flowers, long walks and her furry cat friends, especially Sally Mae and Lucy Mae. An avid doll collector, Mary Ann was a member of the National Doll Association and the United Federation of Dolls. She was also a member of the Bach choir of Bethlehem.
She is survived by a sister Isabell J. Aldridge (Elden); Nieces & Nephews: Arden J. Aldridge (Victoria), Sandra K. Walter (Daryle), Martha Jane Kalko, Robert Latchaw (Maria), Deborah Donna Cartmell (Sid), Sharon Rose Cartmell Knoefler (Larry); Best friend: Ann Sellwood Litchman; special neighbors: Jennie Peiffer, Nathan and their wonderful children, and Susan Zellner.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are being handled by Harding Funeral Home, Slatington. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Palmerton Historical Society, c/o Peter Kern, PO Box 267, Palmerton PA 18071
