Morris C. Moditch Jr.
Morris C. Moditch Jr., 78, of Slatington, passed away April 12, 2010, in his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Betty (Fritzinger) Moditch, they celebrated their 53rd wedding anniversary this past August. Born in Bath, he was the son of the late Morris C. & Julia (Gyori) Moditch. Morris was in the Navy during the Korean War performing underwater demolitions. He received the National Defense Service Medal, Silver Star Korean Service Medal and the Navy Occupation Service Medal with European Clasp. He was an Insurance Agent for Prudential Insurance for 25 years and then for Baltimore life for 5 years before retiring. He was a member of the American Legion Post 16, Slatington where he was past commander and a former member of the Lehigh Township Lions Club. He was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Walnutport.
Survivors: Wife, sons, Daniel & wife Paula Moditch of Annville, Matthew Moditch of Slatington, daughter, Cheryl & husband Jeffrey Husack of Slatington, grandchildren Danny Moditch, Desiree Mintz & Jennifer Husack, two great grandchildren, brothers Edward Moditch & Albert & wife Bonnie Moditch, sister, Barbara North.
Services: Saturday, April 17, 2010, 10:30am at St. Nicholas Catholic Church, 1152 Oak Rd., Walnutport. Calling hour, 9:20-10:30 at the church. Arrangements: Harding Funeral Home, 25-27 N. Second St., Slatington.
