Nancy M. Roberts

Nancy M. Roberts, 93, of Slatington, passed away peacefully Saturday, March 8, 2025. She was the wife of the late Walter “Woop” Roberts, who passed away in 2005. Born in Slatington on August 16, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Iva (Herman) Jones. Nancy worked as the secretary for St. John’s Lutheran Church, Slatington. Prior to that, she worked for Nationwide Insurance Co., for more than 25 years. Nancy was a faithful member of St. John’s UCC, Slatington. She was an active member and treasurer of the Walnutport Senior Citizens and volunteered at the Second Chance Shoppe in Slatington. She was an avid bingo player, enjoyed her trips to the casinos and times around the campfire, camping with friends.

She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter: Jodi L. and husband David C. Hampton of Slatington; grandchildren: Joshua Hampton and wife Maureen of MD, Justin Hampton and wife Sarina of Bath, Stephen Hampton and wife Katie of Fl; great-grandchildren: Wesley, Audrey, Liam, Frankie. She was pre-deceased by a brother, Richard T. Jones.

A funeral service will be held at 11AM on Friday, March 14, 2025, at St. John’s UCC, 15 S. 2nd St, Slatington. Family and friends may pay their respects from 10 to 11AM at the church. Interment to follow at Union Cemetery, Slatington. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to St. John’s UCC Memorial Fund. Harding Funeral Home is honored to handle Nancy’s arrangements.
