Naomi Becker, 90, formerly of Walnutport, passed away Tuesday, March 19, 2024, at Fellowship Manor, Whitehall. She was the wife of the late Richard C. Becker, who passed away in 2020. Born in Lower Saucon Twsp, Bethlehem on January 5, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Robert H. and Elsie B (Hafner) Kunkle.
Naomi’s working years began at the former Cross-Country Clothes, Northampton. She then worked along with her late husband, Richard, in the family business, Becker Home Sales/Services and Communities in Walnutport for 63 years. An active member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Walnutport, Naomi served as treasurer, organist, deaconess, and taught children’s Sabbath School Classes. She enjoyed gardening and flowers and would often make floral arrangements for the church.
Naomi is survived by her son, Carl Becker and wife Linda, of Walnutport; Son-in-law, Darrel Hutchinson; grandchildren, David Becker and wife Susan, Sandra and husband Bryce Bowman, Brian Becker and wife Cassie, Stacey and husband Alex Rodriguez; great-grandchildren, Emily and husband Austin Charles, Brandon Becker, Sage Minton, Hailey Becker, Sydney Willis, Camden Willis, Kaitlyn Bowman, Caleb Bowman, Micah Bowman, Chase Rodriguez, Celeste Rodriguez, Carissa Rodriguez, Cayliana Rodriguez, Coralynthia Rodriguez; and many nieces & nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter, Jean D. Hutchinson.
A graveside service will be held at 11AM on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, at Arlington Memorial Park, 3843 Lehigh St, Whitehall, PA 18052. No calling hours. Arrangements are under the care of Harding Funeral Home, Slatington. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Naomi’s memory to Amazing Facts, PO Box 1058, Roseville, CA 95678 or charity of one’s choice.
