Paul Gray

Paul J. Gray, 74, of Walnutport passed away Friday, February 26, 2021 in his residence. He was the husband of Cynthia A. (Dembecki) Gray, whom he married June 17, 2000. Born in Sayre, PA on May 27, 1946, he was the son of the late Rev. Miles E. Gray and Ruth B. (Wilson) Gray. Paul served honorably in the U.S. Navy. He worked as a laborer for many years for Warfel Construction and also for AEB Construction. Paul attended Bethany Wesleyan Church, Cherryville. Paul was a very kind and loving person. Paul was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan. He enjoyed connecting with nature while hunting and fishing.

In addition to his wife Cynthia, he is survived by a son: Paul J. “Jim” Gray, Jr. of Shelocta, PA; step-children: Jason P. Henry and wife Rhonda of Allentown, Matthew J. Henry and wife Heather Elizabeth of Zionsville, Christa L. Herring; grandchildren: Heidi, Abby, Eden, Elijah, Noah, Aidan, Noah, Micah, Aviana; brothers: John Gray of Ohio, Dr. Phillip Gray and wife Carolyn of Avon Park Fl, Sam Gray and wife Belva of Avon Park, Fl; sisters: Ruth Ann and husband Herschel Hosack of W. Lebanon, PA. He was pre-deceased by siblings Esther Holloway, David Gray.

Family and friends may pay their respects from 10AM to 11AM. A memorial service will be held at 11AM on Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at Harding Funeral Home, 25-27 N. Second St, Slatington. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Paul’s name may be made to the funeral home to help defray funeral expenses.
