Paul H. Steigerwalt



Paul H. Steigerwalt, 81, of Center Valley, formerly of Walnutport, passed away May 19, 2010, in his residence surrounded by his loving family. Born in New Tripoli, he was the son of the late Harold N. & Ella (Ulrich) Steigerwalt. He and his wife Ellen Jane (Peters) Steigerwalt celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary this past July. Paul started as a laborer for the former Trojan Powder Company, now known as IMC, and retired from there as a foreman. He then worked as a school bus driver for the Northern Lehigh School District and later was employed at Super Fresh in Walnutport. Paul was a member of St. John's UCC in Slatington. He enjoyed bowling, gardening, pets, bird watching and reading books about American and world history.

Survivors: Wife; sons, Gary Steigerwalt & wife Dana Muller of S. Hadley, MA and Thomas & wife Pam Steigerwalt of Zionsville; granddaughter, Jennifer Steigerwalt of Tempe, AZ.

Services: 2:00pm, Monday, May 24, 2010 at Harding Funeral Home, 25-27 N. Second St., Slatington. Calling, 1-2:00pm at the funeral home.
