Pauline Kemmerer

Pauline “Polly” Kemmerer,88, formerly of Slatington passed away Monday, January 3, 2022, at Heather Glen Senior Living, Allentown.    She was the wife of the late Robert D. Kemmerer who passed in 2020.    Born in Nazareth, PA on May 9, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Katherine (Senneca) Cerrone.   Polly was a graduate of Slatington High School, Class of 1950.    She was employed as an executive secretary for many years at Fuller Company/GATX and walked to Hess’s Department Store daily at lunch. She was a former member of the Slatington Women’s Club and helped with various charities.   She is survived by a son: Robert D Kemmerer Jr and wife Brenda of Reston, VA. and daughter Kathy and husband Joe Tagliaboschi of Yountville, CA; 3 grandchildren;7 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and Godchildren.    She was predeceased by siblings, Anthony, Carmen, Michael, Florence and Dorothy.  We cannot say enough about the excellent care, love and kindness shown to us (and especially our Mom) by the employees at Heather Glen Memory Care in Allentown.   If you’d like to honor the memory of Polly (and her husband), assist a neighbor, drop off a meal to someone in need, or volunteer your time. Because of Covid and family living out of the area, the family has decided to celebrate both Polly and Bob in spring or summer when easier for all to gather.  Arrangements are being handled by Harding Funeral Home, Slatington.   If you would like to contribute to the Alzheimer’s Association in Polly’s name, the address is 617 Main Street, Hellertown, PA 18055.
