Pauline “Polly” K. Marx, 68, of Danielsville, entered eternal happy hour at her Margaritaville-themed home on Monday, June 17, 2024. She was the beloved wife of Frank S. Marx with whom she celebrated 39 years of marriage this past March 25th. Born in Allentown, she was the loving daughter of Arthur J. and the late Margaret (Wilder) Koran.
A graduate of Slatington High School, Pauline embarked on a fulfilling career as a school bus driver for many years. Polly was an avid reader, shopper, home decorator, hack genius/DIYer, and Jimmy Buffet “Parrothead.” She enjoyed spending her time at the beautiful home-beach oasis she created, while visiting friends over the phone for hours on end. Whether hosting or attending, she was always the life of the party; guests left with bellies full of food and laughs. After retirement, she excelled at being the world’s best Nana to her 3 grandchildren, Parker, Cameron, and Sienna. Those who knew and loved Polly will remember her glowing smile, spirited personality and sense of humor.
In addition to her husband Frank, she will be incredibly missed by her corgi Savannah, son Daniel Marx, and daughter, Monica (Brian) Gilson; sisters, Karen (Richard) Easterday, and Wese (Todd) Freed, and many nieces and nephews. May her afterlife be filled with endless sun, warm sandy beaches, and reuniting embraces from her mother, Margo, sister Mimi, and brother Arty, along with many cherished pets. Well-wishers are encouraged to pop in for a cold one with Frank. No services will be held.
