Phyllis W. Beltz, 92, of Slatington, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones in her granddaughter’s home on Saturday, September 17, 2022. She was the wife of the late Allen B. Beltz, who passed away in 2016. Born in Slatington on July 15, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Ida (Coffin) Benner. Phyllis was a homemaker. She was a member of Bethany Bible Fellowship in Whitehall. She was a faithful follower of Jesus and served for years as a church pianist. Phyllis loved the outdoors, enjoyed gardening and watching birds. She and her husband liked long drives and observing roadside scenery. Playing cards and spending time with family members brought great joy. She always decorated her home according to what season it was.
She is survived by sons: Glenn Beltz and wife Deborah of Bowmanstown, Ted Beltz and wife Stacey of Whitehall; daughters: Marjorie Greene of Walnutport, Janet Shupp of Slatington; 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren. She was pre-deceased by siblings, Robert and Carl Benner, Lorraine Mack and Emma Green.
A funeral service will be held at 11AM on Saturday, September 24, 2022, at Harding Funeral Home, 25-27 N. Second Street, Slatington. Family and friends may visit with the family from 10 to 11AM. In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested to Lehigh Valley Hospice, 2024 Lehigh Street, #100, Allentown PA 18103
