Richard C. Binder, Jr.

Richard C. Binder, Jr., 64, of Slatington, passed away unexpectedly Friday, December 20, 2024, at St. Luke’s Carbon Campus. He was the husband of Wanda J. (Peters) Binder, whom he married on December 11, 2004. Born on February 25, 1960, he was the son of the late Richard C. and Janet F. (Miller) Binder. Rich spent the majority of his working years employed by DSC Logistics in Fogelsville, working as a forklift operator. Prior to that, he also worked for Lehigh Lumber and JP Mascaro. Following his retirement from DSC, he worked part-time for Brooksey’s Drive Thru in Slatington. Rich was a member and former board director for the Slatington Skeet Club, a member of the American Legion Post 16, Slatington, and the Diamond Fire co., Walnutport.

In addition to his wife Wanda, he is survived by sons: Richard C. Binder, III, Steven Binder, both of Slatington; stepson: Corey Kuehner of CO, stepdaughter: Kristen Verba of Coaldale; grandchildren: Cadence Binder, Derek and Jordan Kuehner; sisters: Cheryl Binder, Sally Breidenstein, Tina Binder, Julie Neitz.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday December 28, 2024, at 1PM at the Slatington Skeet Club, 8112 Skeet Club, Road, Slatington, with a short time of remembrance beginning at 2PM.
