Rodney Werley

Rodney D. H. Werley, 84 of Slatington died Saturday January 16, 2016 at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Twsp. He was the husband of Lena M. (Heintzelman) Werley; they celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary this past June. Born in Slatington, he was the son of the late Clair P. F. and Hilda M. (Zerfass) Werley. Rodney was an iron worker of Local 36 of Easton. He was a member of St. John’s UCC, Slatington, member and past president of Slatington Lion’s Club, past president Slatington Skeet Club, member of Slatington Masonic Lodge 440 F & AM, Lehigh Consistory, and the Hillbilly’s. He was also a member of the Vigilant, Diamond, and Emerald Fire Co’s, and the Walnutport VFW.
Survivors: Wife Lena, Daughters; Kim M. and husband Van McDowell of Boyertown, Cindy L. and husband Larry Davis of Slatington, Tammy L. and husband James Suchon of Allentown. Grandchildren; Brooke, Aaron, Daniel, Evynne, and Garrett. Great Grandchildren; Morgan, Chloe, Brayden, and a fourth on the way. Brother; Aubrey Werley and wife Ann of Danielsville. Nieces & Nephews. He was pre-deceased by a brother Verdun S. Price.
Services: 6pm Friday January 22, 2016 Harding Funeral Home, 25-27 N. Second St, Slatington PA. Calling hour 4-6pm at the funeral home.
