S. John Rannazzisi

S. John Rannazzisi of Slatington, passed away on his 84th birthday on Monday, June 19, 2023, at Cedar Crest Post Acute.    Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late John A. and Josephine (Williamson) Rannazzisi.   John was a graduate of Slatington High School, Class of 1957 where he photographed and video taped all class events.   He attended Drexel University from 1957-1958, and was employed at Western Electric from 1958-1991 as an electrical technician journeyman.

John was active in many musical groups including the TRI-CEES, Summer Harmony, a men's group of Lehigh Valley singers.   He enjoyed attending many operas in New York City and Philadelphia.   A faithful parishioner of Assumption BVM Catholic Church, he was a member of the choir and started the Travel Club of Assumption BVM.  John was aslo active in the Telephone Pioneers.

John is survived by a cousin: Thomas Rizzuto and wife Helen of Long Beach, NY.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11AM on Monday, June 26, 2023, at Assumption BVM Catholic Church, 649 W. Washington Street, Slatington.   No Calling hours.   Private interment will be held following Mass at the Parish Cemetery.   In lieu of flowers, contributions in John's name are suggested to the Northern Lehigh Food Bank, 7884 Center Street, Slatington.    Arrangements are being handled by Harding Funeral Home, Slatington.
