Scott J. McFarland, 47 of Slatington died peacefully at home on Saturday, July 14. Scott was the companion of Stephanie Liebenguth. He attended Northwestern Lehigh Schools and graduated from Northern Lehigh High School in 1983. He was previously employed by Pany and Lentz Engineering, Michael F. Ronca Construction and Lehigh Engineering. He had his own company called Landmark Consulting. His interests included taking his son hunting and fishing. He was also an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed cooking. Scott was a dedicated second term Governor of Moose Lodge 1375 in Slatington where he was also a member of the Moose Pool Team. He was also a member of the Sons of American Legion Squadron 16, Post 16 Legion Riders, Slatington Skeet and Sporting Association and the Walnutport VFW.
Surviving in addition to his companion "Steph"쳌 is a son Ian. Scott was the son of Bruce and Judith McFarland. He had a brother Steve and wife Justine. A sister Shannon and her companion Richard LaBarre. Nieces, Cayleah and Samantha. Nephews, Christopher and Ricky. A grandmother, Elaine McFarland, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Services will be at Harding Funeral Home, 25-27 N. Second St., Slatington on July 19, 2012 at 7:00pm. A calling period will be held from 5-7:00pm at the funeral home.
