Stephen T. Marlatt

Stephen T. Marlatt, 44, formerly of Slatington, passed away on Tuesday, April 11, 2023, at St. Luke’s Hospital – Carbon Campus. Born in Allentown on September 20, 1978, he was the son of Todd Marlatt of Palmerton and the late Lisa (Kern) Thierer. 

Stephen battled addiction for many years and although he was recently in recovery, his personal demons caught up with him one last time. Through everything, one constant was always his love for his son. He also loved music, and enjoyed the outdoors, especially the beach. He spent many years working as an asphalt laborer and most recently he was employed as a laborer for Bethlehem Pre-Cast.

In addition to his father, Stephen is survived by his son, Jaden Marlatt.

Arrangements are being handled by Harding Funeral Home, Slatington. Calling hours will be held from 7:00 to 8:00 PM followed by a brief memorial service on Thursday, May 11, 2023, at Slatington Baptist Church, located at 509 Main Street, Slatington, PA 18080.
