William Eckhart

William “Willy” Eckhart, 62, of Walnutport, living in Florida, passed away Thursday, August 16, 2018 in his home.   He was the husband of Cheryl (Kline) Eckhart, and the late Ginny (Scott) Eckhart.  Born on February 19, 1956, he was the son of Ellen (Mack) Hausman of Walnutport, and the late William Eckhart.  Willy worked in construction and drove truck for various trucking companies.   He was a huge Pittsburgh Steelers Fan, and enjoyed fishing.
In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by daughters: Christina and husband Keith Williams of Northampton, Kendall Eckhart and fiancé Sheade Logan Worden of Slatington; Step-children: Amanda & Kristy Heffelfinger, Ashley & Davis Kline; Grandchildren: Taylor, Parker, Richie, Madelynn & Emma; Sisters: Susan M. Eckhart of Walnutport, Deborah Eckhart wife of Ted Strohl of Slatington; Brothers: Robert Eckhart and fiancé Brenda Rex of Lehighton, Barry A. Eckhart and wife Barbara of Slatedale, Edward Eckhart and wife Susan A. of Slatington.  He was pre-deceased by a brother Jason Hausman.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, August 25, 2018 at Harding Funeral Home, 25-27 N. Second St, Slatington.  Family and friends may pay their respects from 11 a.m. to 1p.m.  In lieu of flowers, contributions in Willy’s name can be made to Furry Feet Rescue, 771 S.
