William C. Kistler

William C. Kistler, 85, of Slatington, passed away Thursday, March 20, 2025, at The Phoebe Home, Allentown. He was the husband of Mildred E. (Zellner) Kistler, whom he married June 11, 1960. Born in Palmerton on June 11, 1939, he was the son of the late Elmer C. and Mary R. (Weaver) Kistler. William was a graduate of Slatington High School, Class of 1957. In 1958, he, along with his father, started the family business, Kistler’s Garage in Slatedale, where he worked until the age of 77. He was a faithful member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Slatedale, former secretary of the Lehigh Furnace Sunday School, and a life member of the Slatedale Fire Co.

In addition to his wife Mildred, he will be lovingly remembered by a daughter: Linda and husband Edward Eberhardt of Slatington; son; Ricky Kistler of Slatington; grandchildren: Philip Eberhardt and fiancé Elizabeth, Andrea and husband Blaze Meyers; great-grandchildren: Ella, Avery, Thea; brother: Ronald E. Kistler. He was pre-deceased by a brother, Elmer Kistler.

Private family services were held. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 4118 Main St, Slatedale PA 18079. Harding Funeral Home, Slatington is honored to handle William’s services.
